Sweet Times

So, my idea of updating this blog often has gotten away from me, however, I am back and ready to blog. Brace yourself, this may be a long one!
It has been a crazy, but good couple of weeks. We closed on our house March 12 and moved in that weekend. We LOVE our new house, new neighborhood and our new town. Each time we pull into the entrance of the neighborhood Oak always yells "our house." We are so thankful to have this house and to be close to our friends and family!
Besides the fact that we have lived in 4 different homes in the past 6 months Oak has transitioned amazingly and continues to amaze us with the amount of understanding and communicating and thinking that he is able to do now! He is quite the little boy and no longer a baby!
Our days are filled with just watching Oak with fascination as he says something or does something new. We are constantly looking at each other asking, "did you teach him that?" because he just blurts out something crazy. He loves to laugh and play and he just has the sweetest heart. He loves just sitting at Walmart yelling "HI" and "BYE" as people walk in and out of the door. He is also quite the imagination. He loves to be pretend to be a waiter and bring me food or pretend to get in his books with the characters. We constantly hear"Pee Pee potty" (only because he gets a treat when he is finished), "pee party" which really means dance party and he is constantly making up new moves. I think he is confusing dance party with tea party (which is a whole other blog post). He loves to point things out to me so I often hear "mommy, bug. mommy, moano (rainbow), mommy, pink. I LOVE THIS!! It is super sweet. He does not like getting boo boos and woodpeckers (random?!) If Oak gets a boo boo he just looks at it and says "bye-bye boo-boo" over and over again. He is terrified of woodpeckers. Not sure about that one.
One of his favorite things right now is little people. They are just these little toy people that he loves to play with. He either calls them "guys" or "peepEL." He has about 20 of them and they each have a name. He knows each of their names, knows when one of them is missing and finds it extremely difficult to play with them unless they all are included. The other day Ella (Cinderella, yes he has a Cinderella doll) was missing and we had to do an hour search for her until she was found in under the driver seat in our car. We could continue to play once she was found.
This is just such a sweet aspect of his personality that I pray never changes. I hope that he will always have a heart for people, knowing each of them by
their name.
I am going to just post some random pics over the last few months. PS...please don't laugh at his haircut. It'll grow back right?
